Angelina Darrisaw connected with Chicago-based radio station, WVON 1690 AM, to discuss how her empowerment work with young girls led to her decision to pursue entrepreneurship. Micae Brown, the host of the popular weekly program, "Urban Business Roundtable" asks her to share any shocking takeaways she has from working with girls and women.
Angelina reflects, "In the activities I do with all audiences, from teenage girls to accomplished professional women, I am always wow-ed by how easy it for them to identify the strengths and beauty in their peers. The challenge that all age groups face is identifying their own value... That's why the work I do is so important to me. I seek to help people understand the power in the value they bring."
Angelina shared the program with Dr. Venus Opal Reese and the United Negro College Fund.
