For the third year, Angelina Darrisaw, a Steering Committee member for the Alvin Ailey Young Patron Circle, joined the Spirit Gala host committee. Proceeds from the annual spring gala provide scholarships for talented students of The Ailey School and support Ailey's innovative Arts In Education & Community Programs.
The annual event, which takes place at Lincoln Center, features the Company, as well as students, and AileyCampers. Angelina joined Ailey to support an organization that has a rich legacy of including Black communities in art and working to expose all under-resourced communities to fine arts. She is proud to serve Ailey another year in support of these goals!
