Why Connection is the Ultimate Lever for Executive Women

There is something incredibly powerful about bringing together women who are already at the top of their game. We’ve been hosting a series of brunches for executive women at Zero Bond, and every single one has reached capacity almost as soon as we’ve announced it.

While the setting is beautiful, the real impact is in the energy of the room. These sessions are a deep dive into the way we connect with others. When you’re moving to that next level of leadership, your greatest tools go beyond technical skills, it’s about how you lead and communicate. At C-Suite Coach, we believe this is one of the main levers that allows a leader to truly scale their impact.

During the brunch, I discussed how understanding David Rock’s SCARF model can help us identify our own triggers and the triggers of those we are often communicating with. Equipped with that insight, we can be intentional about how we address and eliminate those triggers. I also reviewed about how using the GROW framework can be helpful in preparing for those tougher conversations.

One of the best parts of these sessions is seeing how the women in the room participate and share their own perspectives. Because everyone has a different style, it allows the group to support one another in a really unique way as we navigate a whole range of workplace challenges. Whether someone is naturally more detail-oriented or a big-picture visionary, hearing how others handle high-stakes situations helps everyone sharpen their own approach.

Ultimately, how you connect with your team is what draws people in and keeps them locked into a mission. It’s the foundation that helps you grow and lead effectively. Excellence is always amplified when leaders have a safe space to share their realest challenges, and I’m so grateful to every woman who has sat at the table with us so far!
