Angelina Darrisaw returns for the second time to Hofstra University to lead a fun workshop on resilience strategies for Cedarmore Corporation's Girlz Talk.
The annual day-long event focuses on "candid conversations for girls featuring interactive workshops that focus on both academic and timely social issues. Girlz Talk seeks to narrow the information gap that exists in many of the lives of Girlz 12-18+ from diverse communities, by addressing the most pressing issues that they face as they continue to grow and develop." In addition to a variety of workshops on topics like college prep, career prep, and health and wellness, Girlz Talk, in partnership with the Allstate Foundation, grants (4) $500.00 college scholarships to Girlz in attendance who participated in the 1st annual Essay Contest!!
Other highlights include the Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee returns to Girlz Talk to help Girlz ages 15+ understand when to stop "spilling the tea".
